Kristian Sustar, the head of the association of employers in the Croatian hotel sector, said that September and October would be crucial for the sector, adding that bookings for those two months were at a good level currently.
July produced good results reversing the downturn which hotels experienced in the first half of the year, he added.
Sustar said that this season could be at the same level as the last one, despite lower extra spending by tourists.
The head of the Croatian association of family and small hotels, Sime Klaric, said the number of arrivals and overnight stays registered by the association's members in the first seven months were at the same level as in the comparable period the last year.
Those hotels can expect higher demand in the post-season, according to Klaric.
The spending has been reduced in restaurants but hoteliers compensate it with diversified offer, he said.
