All deposits grew by 2.6 per cent year on year.
Total foreign exchange deposits and kuna deposits came to HRK 173.1 billion in May, with foreign exchange deposits accounting for 80 percent of that amount, the Croatian National Bank (HNB) reported last Monday.
Deposits denominated in foreign currencies rose 11.9 percent in the nominal term on the year, while deposits denominated in HRK went down by 22.6 percent year on year.
Household deposits, denominated in foreign currencies, grew by more than one billion kuna in May, and they rose year on year more than HRK 12 billion.
Thus, foreign exchange deposits, placed by households, totalled HRK 113.3 billion, accounting for 82 percent of all deposits denominated in foreign currencies, the value of which was HRK 137.7 billion in May.
