According to an agreement between this EU agency and Croatia, also four Croatian police officers will be engaged in the Neptune 2009 operation, Slovenian police official Marko Gasparin told a news conference in Ljubljana on Friday.

Croatia and Frontex signed an agreement on operational cooperation last year, Frontex director Klaus Roesler said adding that in the meantime Macedonia concluded such agreement and that Montenegro will follow their suit.

The Croatia-Frontex agreement regulates the exchange of data, training of staff and introduction of state-of-art equipment, Croatian police official Gilio Toic Sintic told the news conference in Ljubljana, which was held on the occasion of launching the Neptune 2009 operation.

He said that cases of illegal migrations on the Croatian-Sloven frontier were reduced by 40 percent in the last 12 months.
