ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Nikola Kekic, the parish priest in the concathedral church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Zagreb, as the new bishop of the Greek Catholic diocese in Croatia.

Methodius in Zagreb, as the new bishop of the Greek Catholic diocese in
Croatia. The Greek Catholic diocese of Krizevci gathers all Greek
Catholic believers in Croatia.
The 66-year-old Kekic will succeed the 75-year-old Bishop Slavomir
Miklovs, according to a statement from the Apostolic Nuncio's office in Zagreb,
which was carried by Croatian Catholic news agency IKA, on Monday.
