ZAGREB, Jan 18 (Hina) - Afghan security forces took over control of
government buildings and the presidential palace in Kabul, after they
were targets of coordinated attacks by the Taliban on Monday morning,
while new ministers were taking oath. In the operation five people
were killed and several dozens wounded. President Hamid Karzai said in
a statement that "the security situation is under control and order
has once again been restored".
