Opera Europa, which currently serves over 240 members from 46 countries, held its spring conference in Barcelona on 15-18 March. During this annual event, the Croatian opera artist and professor Hraste Sočo was appointed vice-president.
"It is a great honour for me to have been appointed Vice President of Opera Europe, a prestigious association that plays a key role in shaping the future of opera in Europe. This appointment is a confirmation of the importance of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb within international theatre circles, as well as an opportunity for us to contribute even more strongly to the development of the European opera scene," Hraste-Sočo said on this occasion.
She became a member of the Opera Europe Board of Directors in April last year.
