At the start of the event, Nikola Koceić-Bilan, the vice rector for students, said that they expected up to 2,000 high school graduates to attend the fair, with organised bus transport from all major urban centers in Dalmatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Each afternoon, three to four components will be presented. Afterward, our prospective students will have the opportunity to join the concerts we organise and experience the Advent atmosphere. We've created an Advent experience for both current and future students," Koceić-Bilan said.
He also highlighted that the University of Split is the only university in Croatia to have seen an increase in the number of enrolled students.
Secondary school seniors were also greeted by the rector of the University of Split, Dragan Ljutić, who officially opened the fair. He said that the university is celebrating its 50th anniversary and highlighted that the academic community at the university currently includes approximately 19,000 students.
The fair runs through 6 December.
