epa09584865 (FILE) - An undated handout file picture made available by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shows the International Space Station (issued 16 November 2021). NASA announced that on 15 November 2021, the International Space Station (ISS) Flight Control team was notified of indications of a satellite breakup that may create sufficient debris -- generated by a Russian Anti-Satellite (ASAT) test against one of its own satellites -- to pose a conjunction threat to the station. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson released a statement about the incident saying that due the debris generated by 'the dangerous Russian ASAT test, ISS astronauts and cosmonauts undertook emergency procedures for safety.' A press statement by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also condemned Russia's test. EPA/NASA HANDOUT HANDOUT EDITORIAL USE ONLY/NO SALES
