ZAGREB, Dec 26 (Hina) - Discus thrower Sanadra Perkovic, the current world champion who is also a two-time Olympic and a four-time European champion, and gymnast Tin Srbic, who won the gold medal in the Men’s Horizontal Bar final at the World Championships in Canada this year, have been voted the best Croatian sportswoman and sportsman in 2017 in a traditional annual poll organised by the Croatian sports daily "Sportske Novosti".
The award-giving ceremony was held in Zagreb on Tuesday, and according to results of the poll conducted by the newspaper among 356 editors and reporters, the best female team in 2017 is the Croatian crossbow team consisting of Valentina Pereglin, Sanja Komar and Nikolina Komar, who won the world title this year.
The best male team are the water polo national team that won the world title in Budapest this year.
