ZAGREB, Nov 29 (Hina) - Slobodan Praljak, who was born in 1945 in Capljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and who graduated from three faculties, was one of the founders of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and in 1991 he voluntarily joined the defence of the Croatian area of Sunja while in 1993 he was appointed commander of the Croat HVO defence forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
