ZAGREB, Aug 6 (Hina) - As many 160,361 students were enrolled in Croatian colleges and universities in the 2016-2017 school year, and broken by gender, 56.7 were female students, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Broken down by the type of tertiary education, of those 160,361 students, as many as 80.2% were enrolled in faculties at universities, 13.6% in polytechnics, 4.8% attended further education (FE) and 1.4% were students of art schools.
In 2015, women accounted for an estimated 54.1 % of all tertiary students in the EU-28, according to the European Union statistical office (EUROSTAT) figures.
