The festival will take place in that central coastal city on 27-30 April and is added to the list of the 15 best open-air festivals around the world, according to American Express Essentials, which writes about new trends in food, fashion, travel and which presents a selection of the most original travel and lifestyle trends each month.
The magazine praises the Croatian festival for a "a number of water activities, including a sailing regatta and a kayakan competition."
American Express Essentials also describes it as a "hidden gem on the festival calendar", putting the Zadar festival on the second top place.
The festival's slogan is 'Zadar Region – Your Adventure Playground'.
The information on the festival's web site reads that "the magnificent waters of Zadar canal will host 3 big competitions: sailing regatta, swimming marathon and kayak race. Rafting lovers, on the other hand, will find their piece of adventure in the magical environment of the river Zrmanja."
