The award was presented by Davorin Stetner, newly-appointed head of the EBAN's Central and Eastern Europe division and president of the Croatian Business Angels Network (CRANE).
Stetner said during the award giving ceremony that Grabar-Kitarovic was the first Croatian senior politician to have recognised the importance of business angels and start-ups by including them in her Council for Economic Affairs.
The EBAN Winter University 2016 conference was held in Zagreb last month under the auspices and with the active participation of the Croatian president.
EBAN comprises over 150 organisations from from 50 countries promoting investment in start-ups.
