ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) on Wednesday launched its book on Croatia's natural resources and scenery and their protection, preservation and sustainable exploitation, entitled "Hrvatska prirodna bogatstva – zastita i odgovorni razvoj" (Croatian Natural Resources - Protection and Responsible Development, unofficial translation).
HAZU president Zvonko Kusic said that the project took stock of the country's natural resources and offered a list compiled in this way for the first time.
He recalled that in March 2013, the HAZU leadership decided to launch a study covering natural resources and cultural heritage of national interest and their protection and preservation as well as sustainable exploitation.
A total of 46 experts, researches and scientists were involved in the project.
