The opening of the Zagreb exhibition, which will be opened concurrently with the same exhibit on the life and work of the new saint of the Roman Catholic Church and big patron, will be attended by Auxiliary Zagreb Bishop Valentin Pozaic, representatives of the diplomatic corps, religious dignitaries and public figures.
On display will be 78 photo panels that provide an inspiring photo biography of this Nobel Prize winner, from her childhood and adolescence in Macedonia to the establishment of her missionary community and her canonisation.
"Mother Teresa was named an honorary citizen of Zagreb in 1990, and by opening the Zagreb exhibition in parallel with the exhibition in Rome we want to show the world that she visited the Croatian capital before she visited some other parts of the world that today are ahead of us," said photographer Zvonimir Atletic, who designed the Zagreb exhibition, which will remain open until September 18.
