The rector of the university in the Croatian capital, Damir Boras, has commented that this university moved upward by some 30 places compared to 2015, adding that CWUR is is one of the most comprehensive lists that take into consideration not only scientific production but also the quality of education.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) "publishes the only global university ranking that measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research without relying on surveys and university data submissions.," CWUR writes on its web site.
"The CWUR ranking started out as a project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2012 with the modest aim of ranking the top 100 global universities. The ranking was quickly reported worldwide and many requests were received to expand it. Since 2014, the CWUR ranking expanded to list the top 1000 out of 25,000+ institutions of higher education worldwide, making it the largest academic ranking of global universities."
