The project, carried out by P.E. teachers as part of the Nestle global initiative "Healthy Kids" in 80 countries, shows that "we should pay more attention to topics such as an excessive intake of salt and sugar because more than half of the pupils covered by the survey did not know the answers to the questions from this field," Dijana Mayer of the HZJZ said while presenting the results of the project earlier this week.
Regarding body weight, fewer than 50% of respondents are dissatisfied with their situation, and as many as 29% regard themselves as fat.
As for physical activity, over 80% of seventh-graders are insufficiently active.
The organisers of the project said that this campaign helped raise the awareness among pupils of the importance of healthy food and physical activity.
