"We discussed the cooperation we have had with America so far," Sisak-Moslavina County prefect Ivan Zinic told press, citing as examples the Sisak steel mill, which at one point was owned by an American company, as well as the successful company Applied Ceramics, established by Matt Sertic, an American originally from Sisak.
Also discussed was the involvement in the US government in mine removal operations in the county. Zinic said that they also informed the US ambassador about the county's tourism potential and investment possibilities.
The ambassador said she was pleased with the talks and that her country would continue assisting in mine removal operations, which should be completed in Sisak-Moslavina County in two years' time.
