Gross written premiums by the insurance companies totalled HRK 3.3 billion kuna at the end of April, and the drop was primarily due to lower life premiums.
Non-life premiums totalled HRK 2.25 billion, down by 0.2% year-on-year, and accounted for 68.06% of total gross premiums written.
Life premiums decreased by 4.4% to HRK 1.05 billion on the year.
Croatia Osiguranje (CO) and Allianz had a market share of 31.4% and 12.5% respectively, while the third-ranking insurer Euroherc held 7.66%.
