The participants in the festival are arriving from 12 countries: France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Great Britain, Croatia, Austria, Mexico, Norway, the United States, Portugal and Hungary.
Music Showroom is open to young people and it gives space for experimenting, while not dividing musicians and composers to academically educated and those educated outside the institutions, but promoting dialogue between them, collaboration and exchange of knowledge and ideas.
The programme of Showroom of Contemporary Sound includes performances of so-called unconventional ensembles or bands, intermedia and multimedia projects, but also a theoretical part, as an important segment of the programme: panel discussions, presentations and artist talks.
This festival is focused on exploring classical music, experimental music, sound art, new instruments, technological innovations.
"The Showroom is an attempt to ignore genre boundaries, promote creativity and critical but also open approach which respects differences," said Davorka Begovic, art director of the festival.
