The statistics were derived from the so-called JOPPD forms handed to the Administration for the January-December 2015 period, and they show that 6,164 legal entities with 22,198 employees failed to pay salaries and 1,249 physical persons with 3,656 workers.
Wage defaulters are those who fail to pay salaries for at least three months in a row.
The updated figures covered the period from July to December 2015, the Tax Administration reported on its web site.
