Czech Airlines reintroducing Prague-Zagreb flights

Author: Hari Alfeo
ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Czech Airlines is reintroducing regular Prague-Zagreb flights after four years, the company's representatives told reporters at Zagreb Airport on Wednesday.
The first plane from Prague is expected to land in Zagreb on April 27.

Initially there will be two flights a week, on Monday and Thursday from Zagreb and on Wednesday, and Sunday from Prague. Another two flights will be introduced in the summer. In Prague, passengers will be able to take connecting flights to other European destinations.

A one-way ticket will cost 72 euros and a round ticket 141, it was said.

The flight schedule will enable passengers from Croatia to stay in Prague for two days and one night or a long weekend, Czech Airlines's regional sales director, Dalibor Malek, said.

Zagreb Airport CEO Jacques Feron said he was pleased with the reintroduction of Zagreb-Prague flights. This is actually a continuation of the traditional years-long cooperation between Czech Airlines and Zagreb Airport and we believe the new dimension of this cooperation will continue at the new passenger terminal to mutual satisfaction, he said.

The first Czech Airlines Prague-Zagreb flight took place in 1930 and Zagreb was the company's oldest regular destination from Prague. The flights were suspended in June 2012 because of the Czech company's restructuring.
