BRUSSELS, Sept 30  (Hina) - The name of 'Licki Krumpir' has been entered in the EU register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications, the European Commission reported on Wednesday.
The EC's decision was published on Wednesday in the database of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications.

Licki Krumpir was registered with geographical designation at the national level in 2011 and a submission for its registration at the European level was submitted on 1 May this year.

Licki Krumpir is a seed potato of the Desire, Bintje and Victoria varieties and is grown in the Lika region of central Croatia.
