ZAGREB, Aug 21
(Hina) - Bilingual, Latin-Cyrillic signs were put on
offices of state institutions in the municipalities of Vojnic and
Vrbovsko on Friday, and officials at the Public Administration
Ministry said that legal conditions for that had been met more than a
decade ago, announcing that inspections would be carried out in other
towns and municipalities as well to apply directly, in cases where it
is necessary, laws that guarantee ethnic minorities the right to the
equal official use of their language and script in the communities
where they account for more than one-third of the local population.
