MALI LOSINJ, Aug 8 (Hina) - A WhiteFlag, granted by GUWAA, an international association for cleanliness, preservation and protection of the aquatic ecosystems, has been awarded to the five-star Bellevue hotel in Mali Losinj on the Croatian island of Losinj for the hotel's efforts to preserve clean water in Cove Cikat.

The award was handed over to the hotel management by Helga Piaget on behalf of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation at a ceremony on Saturday in the town of Mali Losinj.

WhiteFlag via its cooperation with GUWAA.org is supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to combine their expertise in the field of marine preservation.

It granted to companies, hotels, to the variety of tourism and hotel businesses, cruise line companies, internet companies, food industry products and other types of industries.

The Croatian hotel is the first five-star hotel to win this award.
