The event, which will also include the awarding of symbolic prizes to employers who provide the best support for their employees who travel to work by bicycle, is aimed at raising awareness of the fact that the Croatian capital needs better cycling infrastructure.
The number of bicycle riders in Zagreb is growing by the year and riding conditions are not getting any better, the association said in a statement.
"We contribute from our salaries to the city budget, yet the city authorities do not think about bicyclists' needs. We want, among other things, our money to be used to improve the cycling infrastructure," the association said.
The campaign is also aimed at motivating as many citizens as possible to travel to work by bicycle as well as at encouraging employers to ensure better cycling conditions for their workers.
