ZAGREB, June 24
(Hina) - Croatia's registered unemployment rate fell
from 18.4% in April to 17.1% in May, a record low rate in the last
three years, according to figures released by the national statistical
office (DZS) on Wednesday.
May was the third consecutive month with declining monthly joblessness.
Seasonal employment during the peak tourist season is likely to help reduce this rate further in June.
There were 275,380 job-seekers registered with the country's Employment Service (HZZ) in late May, down by 7.3% from the end of April 2015 and by 15.9% from May 2014.
