ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - A portion of loans in default or close to being in default in the total lending from Croatian commercial banks was 17.1% at the end of the first quarter of 2015, which was almost the same compared to the end of 2014, PBZ bank analysts have reported on a weekly analysis.

A share of bad loans which companies were unable to pay off went down from 30.8% at the end of December to 30.6% at the end of March in the total sum of loans granted to companies, as a result of addressing the problematic loans among lenders.

Non-performing loans of households rose by 0.2 percentage points to 12.2%.

The portion of default housing loans increased by 0.3 percentage points from the end of 2014 to reach 9.1% in the total sum of mortgage loans at the end of Q1 2015.
