ZAGREB, May 25
(Hina) - The Supreme Court has dismissed as unfounded
an appeal filed by the state prosecution to remand politician Branimir
Glavas in custody, from which he was released at the end of March by
the Zagreb County Court, citing earlier findings by the Constitutional
Court and the fact that, had he stayed in a prison in Mostar, Bosnia
and Herzegovina, where he was serving a sentence for war crimes
committed in Croatia in the early 1990s, he would have been paroled in
mid-March.
