According to working-day adjusted data, retail trade in March increased by 0.4% in nominal terms and by 1.1% in real terms on the year. These figures confirmed preliminary projections which the DZS released in early May.
This, however, is a somewhat slower growth than in February when consumption was up 1.9%.
An increase in consumption for eight months in a row has not been recorded since 2007, two years before the recession.
