Wigemark formally took office earlier on Wednesday by delivering his credentials to Presidency Chairman Mladen Ivanic. Addressing a press conference after that, he said that relations with the EU were crucial for Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that 72 per cent of its trade last year was with the Union.
Bosnia and Herzegovina can be and will be a member of the EU. Before the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can feel the benefits of membership, serious progress needs to be made in the area of economic reform, the Swedish diplomat said.
