The prices of industrial products sold abroad fell 3.9% on the year, while those sold on the domestic market fell 4%.
The main cause for the decrease was a year-on-year fall in energy prices of 9.2%. Excluding that, producer prices in February 2015 fell 0.5% on the year, Raiffeisenbank Austria analysts said.
Month on month, producer prices in February rose 1.5% after four months of decline. Industrial producer prices on the domestic market increased 1.3% from January and those on the foreign market by 1.8%. The rise was due to a 3.8% month-on-month increase in energy prices.
