ZAGREB, Jan 20
(Hina) - Leaders of three Croatian trade union
federations on Tuesday welcomed the government's proposal to freeze
the Swiss franc/kuna exchange rate in a bid to alleviate the status of
troubled holders of loans pegged to the franc, following the sudden
jump in the value of the Swiss national currency, however, unionists
also call on the government to make sure that those loans can be
converted into kuna-denominated loans as a permanent solution.
