According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (DZS), prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by the Consumer Price Index, were 0.1% up on average from September, and 0.4% up from September 2013.
The increase in consumer prices is in line with forecasts by five macroeconomists polled by Hina, whose estimates of consumer price movements had ranged from a 0.1% decline to a 0.1% increase.
Prices of housing, water, energy, natural gas and other energy products went up the most, by 4.2%, followed by prices of leisure, which increased 3.5%.
Prices of footwear and clothing went down the most, by 4%, followed by prices of food and nonalcoholic drinks, which dropped by 1.8%.
