The Ministry reported on Tuesday that a total of 8,041 inspection checks had been conducted in the said period and that a half of them were done during the peak season. In two thirds of those checks, inspection teams found nothing wrong in hotels, restaurants, cafes and apartment accommodation providers they supervised, however, in one third of those checks, the ministry's inspectors established 3,213 violations of various regulations and rules, with those whose breached those rules being fined 4.86 million kuna on the aggregate (approximately EUR 640,000).
