ZAGREB, May 27
(Hina) - The 28-strong European Union held elections
for its 751-seat Parliament on 22-25 May, and the total turnout across
the Union was 43.09% of eligible voters, 0.1% up from the previous
election in 2009, with Slovakia being the worst performer in terms of
turnout, 13%, and Belgium and Luxembourg, where voting is compulsory
being the best performers, 90%.
