ZAGREB, May 26
(Hina) - The coalition led by the strongest
opposition party -- the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) -- has won a
total of 382,000 votes or 41.42% of the vote cast by Croatians during
the elections for the European Parliament on Sunday, which is 106,000
votes more than what the ruling coalition led by the Social Democratic
Party (SDP) scored which won 29.93% of the vote, according to
preliminary results released by the State Election Commission on
Monday.
