ZAGREB, April 10
(Hina) - Parliamentary parties on Thursday endorsed
a proposal that the government be obligated to check the number and
authenticity of signatures collected as part of an initiative for a
referendum on bilingualism, with the Opposition objecting that the
ruling coalition had delayed a decision on the matter and some MPs
voicing dissatisfaction that the government had not been given a
deadline by which to check the signatures.
