ZAGREB, Jan 4
(Hina) - Commenting on a statement by the head of the
Serb Orthodox Church, Patriarch Irinej, who said in his Christmas
message that attempts to remove the Cyrillic script were used as a
screen for the continuation of the persecution of the Serbs in
Croatia, Serb National Council head Milorad Pupovac said on Saturday
the Serbs in Croatia were working to defuse tensions and stop
campaigns against the Cyrillic script.
