ZAGREB, Jan 3
(Hina) - Josip Perkovic, a former intelligence agent
in the Yugoslav-era secret agencies and in Croatia, who was on
Wednesday placed in custody pending extradition to Germany where he is
wanted for involvement in the murder of dissident Stjepan Djurekovic
near Munich in 1983, was released from remand prison in Remetinec,
Zagreb, on Friday but precautionary measures were taken to prevent his
possible flight.
