ZAGREB, Jan 27
(Hina) - Josip Perkovic, a former Yugoslav and
Croatian intelligence official who was handed over to Germany this
past Friday on suspicion of his involvement in the 1983 assassination
of a Yugoslav-era dissident, spent the weekend in the detention centre
in Nuremberg after the relevant German authorities assessed that the
prison in Munich did not have appropriate security conditions for the
detainee, Perkovic's German lawyer Peter Wagner told Hina on Monday
afternoon.
