LOVAS, Jan 10
(Hina) - Commenting on the decision by an appellate
court in Belgrade to quash a trial court ruling that sentenced 14
former members of the Yugoslav army and Serb paramilitary forces to
prison terms ranging from four to 20 years for the murder of about 70
Croatian civilians in Lovas in the autumn of 1991, residents of this
village in eastern Croatia said on Friday that the court decision was
disappointing and humiliating both to the victims and survivors of the
war crimes that had been committed there.
