The championship will take place from 9 to 18 July 2027, with around 800 junior and cadet players from approximately 40 European countries expected to participate
It is a great honour and recognition for Osijek to have been chosen by the ETTU to organise such a prestigious event.
"I would like to thank the ETTU and the Croatian Table Tennis Association (HSTS) for their trust in us and for awarding us the organisation of such a major competition. Over the past two years, we have organised four major European tournaments, demonstrating our capabilities and expertise in hosting such events. This is further proof that Osijek knows how to organise top-level sporting competitions. A huge thank you to the Osijek Sports Community and Mayor Ivan Radić, who, before we hosted our first European tournament, gave unconditional support to HSTS President Zoran Primorac and me for the organisation of major table tennis competitions. Without their backing, we would not have been able even to consider submitting our bid with HSTS," said Dragan Knežević, President of STK Osijek and Vice President of the Croatian Table Tennis Association.
This event continues Croatia’s tradition of hosting major tournaments and is a significant honour, showing that the ETTU recognises Croatia and the HSTS as excellent organisers. The last European Youth Championships in Croatia were held in Zagreb in 2016.
