The campaign, initiated 18 days ago, has already garnered support from donors, and the organisation has expressed its gratitude to all those who have contributed to providing meals for children in Southern Africa.
Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique have been hit by the worst drought in a century, severely impacting the region. The school feeding programme in Mozambique is one of the latest to be established by Mary's Meals.
Mary's Meals provides hope and vitally important school meals for 1.5 million children across the four countries hardest hit by the food crisis. The simple meal provided at school offers children a different path to a brighter future. Thanks to this campaign, Croatians have helped ensure that 586 children receive meals every school day, the organisation stressed.
The organisation also noted that anyone interested can contribute by donating for children in Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, as only €22 is enough to provide one child with Mary's Meals school meals for a whole year.
For information on how to contribute, details are available on the organisation's website, as well as on its Facebook and Instagram profiles, and through the contact number 01 5509 250.
