Author: Ivana Tomičić Šušak

ZAGREB, 31 Jan (Hina) - Zrinka Ljutić secured her third victory of the season in the Alpine Ski World Cup at Courchevel, having previously won at Semmering and Kranjska Gora.

Sara Hector took second place, trailing the Croatian by 1.26 seconds. Lena Dürr came in third, 1.28 seconds behind Ljutić.

Ljutić delivered an outstanding performance in both runs in Courchevel, ultimately winning with a commanding 1.26-second lead over Sweden’s Sara Hector and 1.28 seconds ahead of Germany’s Lena Dürr in third place.

With this victory, Ljutić has climbed to second place in the slalom World Cup standings with 409 points, 41 behind leader Camille Rast of Switzerland, who finished fifth in Courchevel, and 64 ahead of third-placed Swiss skier Wendy Holdener, who dropped back in the second run after finishing second in the first.

In the overall World Cup standings, Ljutić is now fourth with 601 points. Italy’s Federica Brignone leads with 799, followed by Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami with 729 and Rast with 607.
