ZAGREB, 15 Jan (Hina) - A recording of Frano Parać's opera Judita, conducted by Ivan Josip Skender and directed by Snježana Banović, will be available for viewing on the OperaVision platform starting Friday, 17 January, at 7 pm, remaining accessible until 17 July with Croatian and English subtitles.
The platform, funded by the EU’s Creative Europe programme and managed by Opera Europa, promotes opera across Europe, including performances from major houses like the Royal Opera House and Teatro Real.
Judita, based on Marulić’s epic inspired by the biblical Book of Judith, tells the story of a widow who saves her people by seducing and killing the Assyrian general Holofernes. Dubravka Šeparović and Sofija Petrović star as Judith, with Ivica Čikeš and Matija Meić as Holofernes.
