"Sons, Daughters" by I. Bodrožić added to longlist of Dublin Literary Award

ZAGREB, 15 Jan (Hina) - "Sons, Daughters", written by Croatian author Ivana Bodrožić, has been added to the longlist of the Dublin Literary Award, the Corto Literary agency, which represents some of the most prestigious writers from South-Eastern Europe, reported on Wednesday.

The English edition of Bodrožić's novel has been published by Seven Stories Press and translated by Ellen Elias-Bursać.

There are 71 nominations for this year's Dublin Literary Award, including Colm Tóibín's "Long Island", Paul Lynch's "Prophet Song", Muriel Barbery's "One Hour of Fervor" and Stefania Auci's "The Triumph of the Lions".

Throughout the years, the Dublin Literary Award has seen over 1,400 books from authors around the world nominated.

The finalists will be revealed on 25 March, and the winner on 22 May.

This year’s longlist of 71 books nominated by libraries in 34 countries includes 7 novels by Irish authors in the running for the Dublin Literary Award prize, sponsored by Dublin City Council.
