Mayor Mato Franković told a news conference on Thursday that this southernmost Croatian city is preparing the Dubrovnik Winter Festival which will take place in December, and the entire programme will soon be unveiled.
Apart from Zucchero, also Croatian pop star Tony Cetinski will perform in Stradun during the outdoor New Year Party.
The costs for Zucchero's performance are €300,000 and will be covered entirely by sponsors. Cetinski's concert will cost €60,000 and will be covered by the city budget, according to the mayor.
Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomšašević told a news conference in the capital city today that Baby Lasagna, Croatian singer-songwriter and music producer who represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim", would give a concert in the main square on New Year's eve. Marko Purišić, whose professional name is Baby Lasagna, finished in second place overall with 547 points and first in the public vote at the Eurosong, becoming Croatia's highest-scoring Eurovision entrant since its debut as an independent country in 1993.
