The main competition programme includes ten films, nine of which are competing for the festival’s main award, the Golden Pram. The festival will close with the Croatian premiere of Pedro Almodovar’s Golden Lion-winning drama The Room Next Door, on 10 November.
The rest of ZFF programmess – PLUS, Together Again, The Great 5, Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region, KinoKino, and the LUX Audience Award – will showcase a series of intriguing titles, say the organisers.
The festival will be taking place at CineStar Branimir, Cinema Kinoteka, Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU), Dokukino KIC, Scenoteka (formerly Vidra theatre) and online, at the croatian.film platform.
This year's jury for feature films consists of Croatian Sonja Baksa, a short film programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival and feature film programmer for the Vancouver International Film Festival, Ninna Pálmadóttir, an award-winning Icelandic filmmaker, and Anamaria Antoci, a Romanian producer and member of industry networks.
