The gold coins will be issued in two denominations, €200 and €100, while the silver coins will be issued in denominations of €8, €6 and €4.
The author of the coin design is sculptor Nikola Vudrag.
The numismatic coins will be released on 5 September.
The central bank will release 60 gold coins in the denomination of €200 and a maximum of 500 gold coins in the denomination of €100, as well as 1,000 silver coins in the denomination of €8, a maximum of 2,000 silver coins in the denomination of €6, and a maximum of 4,000 silver coins in the denomination of €4.
The coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint and the initial price of the €200 gold coin will be around €9,950 while the €100 gold coin will be sold for around €2,950. The silver €8 coin will cost around €400 including VAT, the €6 coin around €160 including VAT and the €4 silver coin around €80 including VAT. The sale price at the moment of purchase will depend on the movement of gold and silver prices on the open market, the central bank said.
